NEWS// George Clinton Fights For His Funk


It’s a sad day when a musical pioneer has to fight for the right’s to his own funk, but it seems that day has come for funk-master George Clinton. Clinton, who revolutionized music with his bands Parliament and Funkadelic, is currently in legal dispute with Bridgeport Music Inc. who owns the rights to about 170 songs of Clinton’s. Clinton has turned to the internet to raise funds and has successfully raised $50,000 on crowd funding site Indie Gogo to rebuild his studio and protect the integrity of his music. The next step is to raise legal funds so Clinton and past band members can fight to get back the music they created.
