We’ve got a funky one, folks. Some DJ isn’t just some DJ, he’s a London producer (named Dan Chorlton) who just hooked it up with four party-rocking breakbeat tracks that taps into modern dubstep/electro territory.
All four tracks are solid breakbeat gold — there’s even a drum & bass track thrown in for good measure. “Fetto Ghunk” is the one that stood out at first, with pretty classic dubstep synth work and glitched-out ganster feel. There’s a pretty pervasive old-school feel that gives it all the slightly cheesy breakbeat vibe that is pure party — “Catch the Vibe” is about as classic electro-breaks as it gets.
BONUS — Do you hear a little Polish Ambassador in this one?
We have to thank Ghetto Funk for doing what they do. Ghetto funk, space funk — really not so different from each other.
