FEATURE // STS9, Umphrey’s McGee, and The Disco Biscuits Announce Mayan Holidaze 2012

Get your passport ready and start working on your base tan, ‘cuz we’re going to Mexico baby!!  One of the most intimate and extraordinary live music experiences around, Mayan Holidaze is the festival brainchild of STS9, Umphrey’s McGee, and The Disco Biscuits, this year nestled in Tulum, Mexico.  The festival, taking place between December 17th – December 21st,  goes down right on the beach: with the choice to dance in the sand or swim in the ocean while you listen to some of the best sets from your favorite band, this is one of the most coveted experiences in the music scene.  To welcome the New Era of the Mayan Calendar which we are about to enter, STS9 will be playing an incredibly special Midnight set on December 21st… as Saxton Waller (STS9’s visual virtuoso) stated today, “Pretty epic when childhood dreams come true. STS9 in Tulum at midnight on 12/21/12!!! Wow… I have been looking forward to this gig for over a decade…”

It would be hard to compare this experience to other festivals… it’s really more like a vacation surrounded by artists, musicians, their friends and family, and die hard fans.  Holidaze is an all inclusive experience: booking a hotel room at the resort grants you access to open bars, dining, and all other amenities of staying there… including shows EVERY night.   Oh, and on top of that, there are plenty of activities to be enjoyed, guided by the artists themselves: Texas Hold ‘Em with David Murphy of STS9; Jungle Expedition with Mark Brownstein of The Disco Biscuits; Charity Golf Tournament with Umphrey’s McGee; etc.

***Rooms are available for exclusive pre-sale to previous Holidaze guests on March 28th and 29th, and remaining rooms will be granted to the general public on March 30th at 12pm EST***
