It honestly didn’t matter what music you came to Snowball for, because even the artists themselves were hyping Snoop Dogg from every stage. Some Snowballers had been fans since their teenage years, while others were slightly too young and know him from collaborations; some fans survived on hip-hop shows and some had never been to one before. But there were few unifying moments more grand than “Gin & Juice;” or “The Next Episode,” or “Who Am I (What’s My Name?)” or “Nothing But A G Thang.” Scratch that, there were absolutely no missteps in Snoop’s set. He brought the classics and delivered the goods, and most importantly, we believed him when he said he loved the crowd and wanted to come back next year. The unification was strong, and even though it’s not much, the Snoop rolling papers he handed out are going to be treasured until they’re gone. No doubt, Snoop went hard in the paint at Snowball, and we can’t wait for his return… What’s My Mothafuckin’ Naaaaame???
