Ed Banger Records just posted the 5 minute Mini-Mix that Justice did for Annie Mac’s show last Friday on BBC Radio 1. Justice put together a soulful mix of classic rock, disco, electro, funk, and hip-hop, giving us a break from the usual assault of double-sub wobble bass we get on a day-to-day basis. The mix features songs from the likes of AC/DC, Black Sabbath, White Stripes, Run-DMC, Buffalo Springfield, The Flaming Lips, Soulwax, The Who, and many many more, leaving us with a grand total of 54 tracks at the end of the 5 min mix. Woah.
This mix speaks to the rock-influenced direction they took with their latest album, Audio Video Disco. If your parents could DJ, if they could DJ really, really well, they could still only aspire to make a mix that sounds like this one. Justice definitely has some classic taste.
In other news, Justice has announced a US tour that includes a stop in Denver at Red Rocks with Passion Pit. The show is scheduled for August 7th, tickets are on sale at here at Ticketmaster. I don’t know about you but I have already got my tickets and I am very excited. Here’s a video of Justice from their last tour.
